“One Destination…Endless Possibilities” – Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Although not a “theme park” the Myrtle Beach area is being incorporated into this site for two reasons: 1 – it is the home base of both Theme Parks Done the Grown Up Way and our sister site, The Adult Side of Disney; and, 2 – each year visitors return to the area to enjoy over 60 miles of coastline and experience the multitude and diversity of the area attractions.
Shopping, dining, golfing (the golf capital of the U.S.) and live entertainment attractions millions each year. The Myrtle Beach area enjoys over 200 sunny days and mild climate temperatures each year which makes it a paradise for beach goers who may only like to relax with a good book on the beach – or enjoy endless hours swimming, surfing and sailing. Golfers can choose between 108 championship courses and fishermen can choose between casting off from land from one of the piers along the coast or taking one of the many deep sea charters.
Myrtle Beach and the surrounding areas offer an almost unlimited amount of dining choices. The Grand Strand conveniently boasts nearly 1,700 eateries serving up all sorts of delectable cuisine, including some of the world’s finest seafood. Just south of Myrtle Beach – Murrells Inlet, S.C. proudly announces on their welcome sign that you are now entering “The Seafood Capital of South Carolina!”
After dinner visitors can take advantage of the area’s nightlife offering popular nightclubs for those of you who like to dance the night away, or take a quiet walk along moonlit ocean piers. The area is home to 11 live-entertainment theaters often hosting big-name performers, country music concerts, and Broadway revues.
Shopping is an adventure in itself in the Myrtle Beach area – there are literally hundreds of outlet shops, specialty stores, trendy boutiques, and magnificent malls.
Whether staying in one of the hundred ocean front hotels or renting a condo with a private pool and easy access to the beach – your stay in Myrtle Beach can be a wonderful experience!
