HOME/ABOUT

Anyone that knows me well, knows that right up there with my love for my family and friends, is my love of Walt Disney World®. Many will say they love all things Disney, and I guess I do – but my true love is Walt Disney World® in Orlando. I have never been to Disneyland, on a Disney cruise, on an Adventure by Disney, Alauni, or experienced any of the other remote Disney locations. Do I want to visit any of those other Disney locations? Maybe, some day – but my first love will always be WDW.

There is a small piece of Disney with me everyday – I carry a Disney handbag, use a Disney wallet, wear Disney sock, Disney crocs, Disney jewelry, Disney t-shirts and fleece jackets. I use Disney wine glasses, coffee mugs and stationary. Mickey Mouse is represented in some way in every room of my home.

I have no small children or grandchildren so know very little about the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique or the Pirates League since neither of these existed when my children were young. My only experiences with things for small children are through the stories and photos shared by many of my wonderful Disney friends and I will gladly share with you where to find this information if you ever need it.

I love to talk Disney, share Disney and plan Disney – so that is what I will do here on this blog – I will share with you what an adult – with no young children – does at Walt Disney World and I hope you will all enjoy my journeys!

ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Janice and I am a Disney Addict!

I am closer to 60 then I am to 50 and the mom of 2 adult children (28 and 25); married for almost 30 years; and a true Disney fanatic. I was born and bred in NJ. When my husband retired in 2005, and both children were off to college, we moved to SC – much closer to Orlando!

I began my love affair with all things Disney when, in 1973, my single mother drove her 2 teenage daughters from NJ to Florida to see the Magic Kingdom. Since that time I have returned to WDW approx. 50 times.

It seems as if I am always planning our next trip or a trip for a relative, friend or neighbor. I have gone to Disney World alone; with my son for Mother/Son bonding; with my daughter for Mother/Daughter bonding; with my husband; with friends; bringing friends of my kids; and all alone to explore the things I love  – I will never tire of visiting the “happiest place on earth!”

I am fortunate that my children, having been raised by a Disney fanatic, still look forward to our family trips. Each year I still try to find a new experience for them. One of my most exciting moments was when my daughter, a chef, was invited to cook at the Party for the Senses at the 2010 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival.

Now that I am retired, my days are filled by my two little fur babies, Lola and Belle, and planning Disney trips for myself, family and friends. It seems I have become much more of a Disney fanatic in my old age. There is no greater feeling then to see a child’s face light up when they experience all that Disney is….except, of course, all adults who become children when they explore all of Disney from morning to night. I have been exploring Walt Disney World on my own for several years now and would love to share my Adult Side of Disney experiences with everyone!

I am currently a contributing writer to Tips from the Disney Diva where I write under the name Senior Diva and to Mousekejournal.com
